Overview
Francis is an associate in the firm’s Tampa office and a member of the Creditors’ Rights and Bankruptcy Practice Group. His practice focuses on creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, and commercial litigation matters across a variety of industries. He represents businesses and financial institutions in litigation involving breach of contract, collection actions, bankruptcy adversary proceedings, and enforcement of judgments.
Francis is experienced in all stages of litigation, including case assessment, pleadings, motion practice, discovery, mediation, and trial preparation. He regularly advocates for clients in both state and federal courts, navigating complex procedural and substantive issues to develop practical and strategic solutions.
A graduate of Washington and Lee University School of Law, Francis has a diverse legal background that enhances his ability to serve clients. During law school, he was the Managing Editor for the Washington & Lee Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice, Vol. 28, earned a book award in Core Uniform Commercial Code, and served as a Burks Legal Writing Scholar and Research Assistant. His legal experience includes internships with the Bankruptcy Division of the U.S. Southern District Court of Florida, Botetourt Circuit Court, and NextEra Energy. Francis also served as a Student Attorney for a Small Business Start-Up Practicum, which sparked his passion for helping businesses navigate complex legal challenges across various stages of growth.
Prior to law school, Francis spent several years as a Middle School Civics and Law Studies Teacher in North Miami, Florida. In his free time, Francis enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with his partner and three dogs.

- Represented Chapter 7 Trustees in bankruptcy and related adversary proceedings.
- Served as second chair in an evidentiary hearing, securing over $400,000 for client.
- Negotiated and finalized six-figure settlements on behalf of clients.
